De werken aan Watertoren Groenendijk zijn gestart.

Aquaduin wil de watertoren publiek toegankelijk maken als ‘belevingstoren’.
Dit gebeurt door een extra trap en lift, zodat bezoekers het West-Vlaamse landschap kunnen bewonderen en meer leren over de werking van de toren.
De toren wordt ook aantrekkelijk voor sportievelingen en is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers. De toren blijft verder actief als waterreservoir en antennedrager. Rondom de toren komt een welkomstpaviljoen met parking en een wandelpad.
De werken moeten begin 2026 afgerond zijn.
