Herstellingswerken staketsels

In Nieuwpoort-Bad voert het Agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust (MDK) herstellingswerken uit aan het Wester- en Oosterstaketsel. Daarbij worden verschillende palen en balken vervangen.

De werken worden gefaseerd ingericht en zullen tijdelijk wat hinder met zich meebrengen.

In het najaar van 2024 wordt het Oosterstaketsel onder handen genomen. Uit veiligheidsoverwegingen wordt de houten wandelweg daarbij volledig afgesloten. De werkzaamheden moeten behoudens weer- en werfomstandigheden afgerond zijn tegen de kerstvakantie, waarna het Oosterstaketsel opnieuw wordt opengesteld.

Vanaf maandag 6 januari 2024 tot het najaar van 2025 wordt gewerkt aan het Westerstaketsel. De concrete planning voor deze werken wordt later meegedeeld.
